Things We Like

Walking
Burradoo is known for some beautiful homes and gardens. Most homes are situated on blocks that are an acre or more and there are some great walks around the 'Golden Triangle' where Hartnoll Park is situated. It is not far to a walking and cycle track that runs across to the outskirts of Moss Vale or across to near Burradoo railway station.

Restaurants & Cafes
We like Elephant Boy, Caffe Rosso, Palate Pleasure and Wildfood for cafe dining and coffee in Bowral. The Post Cafe in Moss Vale and Gilberts in Mittagong are also good for coffee and light snacks. 

Biota in Bowral or Eschalot in Berrima are good restaurants for fine dining and the general area offers many different types of experiences from hearty pub food, Thai, Italian, Chinese to elegant Australian cooking to give a variety of choices.

The Illawarra Fly
About 25 minutes away, the Illawarra Fly offers treetop walks along the escarpment and spectacular views from their walking platforms and tower. You will also pass the famous Robertson Pie Shop on the way to or from this scenic attraction.

The International Cricket Hall of Fame
This incorporates the Bradman Museum and is well worth a visit even if you don't like sport. It also houses Stumps cafe for some very nice food before or after your visit. 

Wine Trail
There are numerous vineyards in the Southern Highalnds and a vigorous wine industry. Some of the vineyards have outstanding dining facilities (notably the Centennial and Southern Highland Wines) and we recommend a visit to at least two vineyards during your stay.

Golf
There are a lot of choices for playing a round of golf in the Southern Highlands. Craigieburn and Sylvan Glen are both 9 hole courses. For a full 18 hole experience you can choose between Moss Vale Golf Club (our favourite), Royal Bowral, Highlands Golf Club (at Mittagong), Mount Broughton (near Sutton Forest & Peppers) and the Country Club (between Bowral and Mittagong).
